Judy teaches homiletics (preaching) and music, as well as piano. She is also the Makumira Chaplain, which means she is the campus pastor for the University (schools of theology, humanities and social science, and law). In addition, in recent years she was the motive force behind a series of regional seminars for choir directors.

Below is a picture from one of these events, at which instrumental skills, as well as other matters of musicianship were taught.

Jim teaches Old Testament and Hebrew. He has written and published the Hebrew textbook which is used at MUCO, and has completed the first draft of a book, The Gospel According to the Old Testament, used in the M.Th. program. He has also just completed another book, What You Need to Know about the Old Testament. And he does websites and a lot of other computer related stuff.

Jim's Biblical Hebrew is used at several seminaries in East Africa. Together, Jim and Judy have also done an English language liturgy based on Tanzanian hymn tunes, called Listen! God is Calling. Both are available through Luther Seminary bookstore in St Paul, MN.
